By   - 13/02/2020

Armenian wrestler Artur Aleksanyan aced another gold to his name after outperforming Italy’s Nikoloz Kakhleshvili 7-1 in the 97kg Greco Roman final at the ongoing European Wrestling Championship in Rome. This is his fifth continental title and has come with a bonus for the European Champion.

With the title triumph, he has now become the No.1 in the 97kg Greco Roman rankings- a fitting recognition for the three-time world champion. Aleksanyan shares the top rank with Musa Evloev of Russia as the duo share same points for the no.1 spot
