Anshu from India has won her opening round bout on the Day 2 of the UWW Ranking Series event in Rome. In the opening encounter of 57kg Anshu defeated Maria Victoria Dilone of Spain 10-0. The Indian champ is making her debut in the senior category through this tournament and is now drawn to take on 2019 World Champion Linda Morais of Canada.

Big test for Sonam

Like Anshu Sonam will make her debut today in the senior category. The two time cadet world champion Sonam made it to the Indian team after shocking Sakshi Malik in the WFI trials and will take on U23 World medallist Macey Ellen KILTY (USA)

Divya Kakran will be in action in the 68kg category after winning the WFI trials and has 2019 world champion Tamyra Mensah (USA) in her weight.

The most challenging weight category of the Rome Ranking Series is 76kg where Indian Kiran Bishnoi will be in action. The field in the 76kg has 9 world championship medallists including 5time world champ Adeline Gray & Olympic champ Natalia Vorobyeva
