The Day 2 of the Asian Wrestling Championships in Delhi will witness India’s national champion in 60kg category, Gyanender fight the biggest battle of his life. Battle against reigning world champion Kenichiro Fumita of Japan. The 2019 Asian championship bronze winner Indian will take on Fumita in the Quarterfinals of 60kg category.

67kg Quarterfinals – Ashu (India) vs Fu Hao Lin (Chinese Taipei)
Unlike Gyanender, the youngest member of the Indian Greco-Roman squad Ashu has got easy draw and will be expected to make it to the semi-finals without much fuss. Ashu is scheduled to play his last 8 bout against unherald Fu Hao Lin of Chinese Taipei.
In the semis, he will play the winner of Mohammad Alhasan of Syria vs Makhmud Bakhshilloev of Uzbekistan. Bakhshilloev won the Rome Ranking series gold and also won the world championships silver medal in 2019.
72kg – Last 16 – Aditya KUNDU (IND) vs. Alijon KHUSEYNOV (UZB)
In the 72kg Non-Olympic category, Aditya Kundu is making a comeback to the Indian team after winning Commonwealth Championship gold in 2017. He will be up against Alijon Khuseynov of Uzbekistan who will be making his senior debut at the Asian Championships.
97kg Quarterfinals – Mohammadhadi Abdollah SARAVI (IRI) vs. HARDEEP (IND)
In the Olympic category of 97kg Indian national champion in the weight has drawn Abdollah Saravi of Iran in the last 8 battle. Under 23 world bronze medallist, Saravi will be a tough nut to crack for Hardeep and he needs to be at his best to put it across the Iranian.
