The only gold medal bout for India on day 4 of Senior Asian Wrestling Championships was of Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik.
She did redeem herself by reaching a big final but failed to win it and could only manage silver in front of the home crowd.

Sakshi was beaten fair and square in a very closely contested bout by Japanese Naomi RUIKE in with a scoreline of 0-2.
Ruike is a 2019 Asian Championships silver medallist and after her victory tonight, she bettered the colour of her medal from last year.
Sakshi also lost her opening bout to Naomi Ruike by 1-2 margin but made a good comeback to win the next two to make it to the gold medal round of 65kg category.
In the end, she had to satisfy only with the silver.
If day 3 of Senior Asian Wrestling Championships was a golden day for Indian women, then on day 4 they can be seen pocketing a few bronze medals.
The night session of day 4 began with the wrestling queen of India, Vinesh Phogat taking on Thi Ly KIEU of Vietnam in what was anticipated as an easier bout for the Indian.
Kieu is a 2019 South East Asian Games gold medallist but Vinesh cruised past the Vietnamese in under three minutes by a scoreline of 10-0.
In the quarterfinals, Vinesh was defeated by two-time world champion Mayu Mukaida with a scoreline of 2-6.
Vinesh would have liked to finish off with gold but she will have to console only with a bronze.
The second bronze medal for Indian women was in the 57kg category between Anshu and Sevara ESHMURATOVA of Uzbekistan.
A lot was expected from Anshu after her silver medal heroics at Rome Ranking series in January 2020 but she could only manage a bronze in Senior Asian Championships 2020, New Delhi.
Anshu’s win for bronze came against Uzbekistan’s Eshmuratova with a scoreline of 4-1.
In her earlier bouts, she defeated Nuraida Anarkulova of Kyrgyzstan in quarterfinals before bowing down to Olympic champion Risako Kawai in the semis.
The toughest bronze medal bout for an Indian was probably of Sonam in the 62kg category as she was up against the world number 1 and 2019 world champion Aisuluu TYNYBEKOVA.
Despite giving up a good fight, Sonam failed to win a bronze for India at home. She lost her bronze medal bout by 0-11 quite convincingly.
Had Sonam won her bronze medal bout, the debate for Indian candidate for Asian Olympic Qualifiers would have settled once for all.
The last match for India saw Gursharan Preet Kaur take on Tsevegmed ENKHBAYAR of Mongolia. The Mongolian was beaten fair and square by Gursharan in her International comeback after seven years.
Gursharan won with a scoreline of 5-2.
It was an easy victory for the Indian to make it 3 bronze in addition to 1 silver for India to finish day 4 of Senior Asian Wrestling Championship 2020.
