Erica Wiebe posts an inspirational letter which she wrote to herself after 2019 World Championships; Check what it says

Olympic Champion Erica Wiebe is the gold standard of confidence and self-motivation. And in these trying times due to coronavirus pandemic, her social media posts bears testament of it. The Canadian wrestler recently put out a picture of a letter which she had written to herself in 2019 after the World Championships in Nur-Sultan where she finished ninth.

The letter was addressed to Wiebe of December 4th, 2019, the day of the Canadian Olympic Team Trials. It talked about life, its struggles and what we do to achieve it.

She says, “This reminds me of two things: 1- That I trust myself, the journey, my abilities, and my choices. That I am enough. 2- That I am not alone in this journey. My coaches, my team, my friends, my fellow athletes, my country. We are in this together. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to others”.

Wiebe is amongst the finest Canadian women wrestlers. She is the third Canadian champion ever in wrestling at the Olympics, and second Canadian woman to win gold after Carol Huynh.

The wrestler has booked the Tokyo berth in 76kg and is currently training individually at home in Calgary, Alberta.
