The Indian wrestling fraternity extended support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 9-minute Diwali initiative to display the nation’s collective spirit to defeat coronavirus. 2019 World Championship bronze medallist Bajrang Punia took to Twitter to ask people to take the time out and be a part of the noble cause. Other wrestlers who have supported the Indian Prime Minister are Geeta Phogat, Yogeshwar Dutt and Babita Phogat.
PM Narendra Modi on Friday via video message urged people to switch off lights of their homes on April 5 at 9 pm for nine minutes and light up lamps, candles, mobile flashlights to display that the nation stands together in this fight against the pandemic.
