The traditional international Grand Prix tournament “Ivan Yarygin” starts in Krasnoyarsk today. The prestigious tournament will showcase many past and present champions and will be streamed live on WrestlingTV.in courtesy Wrestrus.ru the official platform of Russian wrestling.
On the first day of the women’s wrestling competition, preliminary and semi-final matches will be held in weight classes of 50, 55, 59 and 65 kg.
50kg Category – Preview
In the olympic category of up to 50 kg, many interesting fights are expected in the first round. The highlight of the category will be the presence of 2013 European champion Valeria Chepsarakova and the U23 world champion, the Japanese Miho Igarashi, as well as Nadezhda Sokolova and the strong American Victoria Anthony, who became the bronze medalist of the ranking tournament in Italy just a week ago.

55kg Category – Preview

In the category up to 59 kg, the starting match between the finalists of the last Russian Open Cup Khadizhat Murtuzalieva and Anastasia Yakovleva promises to be interesting. And on the other side of the competition, the bronze medalist of the 2019 World Championships, Shoovdor Baatarzh stands out.
65kg Category – Preview
In the category of up to 65 kg, it is worth noting the first round duel between the bronze medalist of the European Championship 2016 Yulia Pontsevich, returning to the carpet after an injury, and the bronze medalist of the Euro Games 2019 Maria Kuznetsova will be the highlight battle on the opening day.
