Sakshi wins the 65kg trials
Sakshi triumphed over everyone to qualify from 65kg. Earlier 18 year old Sonam shocked Sakshi Malik last week to qualify in 62kg category to qualify for the Asian Olympic Qualifiers, Ranking Series event in Rome and Asian Wrestling Championship in Delhi. After losing her place in the Olympic category she decided to try her hand at 65kg.

Like Sakshi it was redemption time for few others like Pinki, Gursharan and Sarita More. The trio won their respective categories to make it to the Indian team. Gursharan qualified in the 72kg category getting better of Naina of Haryana. Pinki qualified in the 55kg and experienced Sarita More won the trials in 59kg category.
2018 World Championship bronze medallist Pooja Dhanda as informed earlier by WrestlingTV decided to not avail this second opportunity to make it to the Indian team and stayed away from the trials. Dhanda lost the first trials in 57kg.
