Welcome to the Social Room of WrestlingTV.in, India’s only digital destination for the sport of wrestling. The section which brings you closer to your favourite wrestling stars. Let’s start with King Jordan Burroughs how the King shows Professional’s Balancing Act with family.

The name is Jordan Burrough or better known as the king of the world wrestling in the past decade. Not only he is the King On mat but also a King when Steps out of the Mat. The American Wrestler has 4 world titles, 1 Olympic gold to his credit and now is eyeing something special at Tokyo 2020. The King shares how he perfectly balances between family and wrestling, with this picture, which needs no explanation.

Jordan Burroughs- Every driven family man has a constant tug between family and work. When I’m training I feel like I need to be with my family, and when I’m with my family, I feel like I need to be training. There’s a delicate balance between managing these roles, but here are a few pointers I’ve learned along the way.
Find your purpose.
When you pursue something passionately, the people around you feel it and want to be a part of it. Stepping out onto the wrestling mat ready to overcome an incredible challenge is one of the greatest feelings. I love my family, but I also love to wrestle and compete. When I’m living out my purpose, my life has direction and meaning, and I’m able to give my family my best at home.

Have a great spouse.
This speaks for itself. But seriously, find a partner who is independent enough to hold down the fort while your away, but also one that embodies the love and encouragement required to walk side by side as the two of you build your empire together. My wife compliments me (and vice versa) and has helped shape me into the man that the world gets to see.

Operate with integrity, transparency, and faith.

My faith is the compass that directs the way in which I conduct myself in every environment. I hold fast to the things that I believe in and live my life in public the same as I do behind closed doors. When I leave my family, my wife can rest assured that I’ll be the same man on the road that I am at home.

Be intentional.

Be meaningful with your time. When you’re training, utilize every second of it to maximize growth in your craft.  When you’re with your family, close the laptop, put down the phone and focus on being deliberate with them as well. You have to be efficient with your time, making meaningful moments in smaller windows.

Bring your family along.

Dedication to a lofty goal can be contagious. Create something worth chasing not only for yourself but for your spouse and kids. Change it from “your” thing, to “our” thing, and make sure your family knows that they are an integral part of your success. When I win, they win, and there’s nothing more beautiful than sharing your dreams with the people you love! -JB

Bo Nickal-This competition did not go as planned, but at the end of the day wins and losses don’t define me. I am more motivated that ever to continue to improve and to make the most of my gifts. .
