Wrestling News: If there is anyone who has proved his mettle against the Russian Tank Sadulaev, it is the US wrestler Kyle Snyder. The latter is the only wrestler who has been able to penetrate the armour at 2017 world championships. As the countdown for the Tokyo Olympics now begins, Sadulaev talked about his rivalry with the US international. The Russian believes that Snyder is still his main competitor for the Tokyo Games. “The American wrestler Kyle Snyder is still my main competitor in the Olympics,” Olympic champion said.
“He is a competitor who is physically very strong and I even saw him pulling the trucks. It would be foolish to consider him weak. Of course, if we want to talk about him outside wrestling, Snyder is an educated person who believes in God,” he added.

“I think we will fight again,” he said on the possibility of a clash with the opponent at the Tokyo Olympics. I was counting on to win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics this year but then the games got postponed. If I don’t get injured and everything goes well, there will be an opportunity to fight Snyder, but it’s not up to us as anything can happen. Even at the worlds, Snyder did not make it to the finals and I fought Sharif Sharifov in the finals”.
Abdulrashid Sadulaev’s childhood dream
Since childhood, the Russian wanted to be an Olympic champion, and thanks to his older brother, Sadalaev in 2016 won the gold in 86kg weight class. “At the age of 13, when I started training, I lost in regional competitions to a wrestler who was weaker than me, and it made me angry,” he said. “But my older brother kept telling me that it was normal and that it too shall pass. I just have to be patient and not give up.”
He continued: “When I graduated from the school in my village, my father, who is a doctor, made me sit next to him and said, ‘Choose Rashid. Do you want to continue exercising or become a doctor like me and gave me a week to respond.’ But I knew exactly what I wanted, I wanted to be an Olympic champion,” the world champion sighed off.
