Asian Wrestling Championships 2020 to be held in New Delhi from 18-23 February, Watch Live on

The senior Asian Wrestling Championships 2020 is set to take place in Delhi from February 18-23 at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall. The United World Wrestling gave hosting rights to the national capital after through inspections and evaluation. The other city which was in the race is Cuttack (Orissa). This will also be the 8th time India will be hosting the flagship event. The wrestling matches will take place on all the Six days between 10:30 am to 8:30 pm. Watch Live on

The UWW has said that the Asian Wrestling Championship will be considered as a Ranking competition to determine rankings for the Tokyo Olympics. The competition will also be a preparatory ground for the Indian wrestlers before the Asian and World Qualifiers.

The last time India hosted the competion was in 2017. In 2018 and 2019, the championships had taken place in Bishtek, Kyrgyzstan and Xian, China respectively. India had won as many as 16 medals in the 2019 edition, with Bajrang Punia bagging the lone gold in the 65Kg category.
