It was once again proved that Haryana is the real powerhouse of the Indian wrestling (Kushti). After winning the Greco-Roman team title on the day 1, Haryana girls showed their might by outclassing everyone on the Day 2 of the Tata Motors Cadet Nationals in Patna. Such was the domination of the girls from  Haryana that they won 8 out of 10 gold medals. As expected Under 15 world champion Komal did a star act for Haryana as she easily defeated everyone in fray to win the 43kg gold.

The only categories where Haryana failed to win gold was 46kg and 57kg as girls from Maharashtra  won the categories.

Other than the girls competitions, two categories in the boys freestyle was also played on the Day 2. In the 55kg Amit Kumar of Delhi won the gold and in the 65kg Parwinder of Haryana finished at top of the podium. The bouts in remaining 8 weight categories of Free Style Wrestling will be held on the last day of the competitions on Tuesday.
