Tata Motors Senior Women’s Wrestling National Championship Day 2 fixture: 23 women wrestlers will be vying for the crown in the Vinesh Phogat’s 53kg weight class. Phogat, who is currently training in Hungary, has already qualified for the Tokyo Olympics and therefore decided to skip the 23rd Tata Motors National Championship in Agra.
Asian Champion Pinki will start as the favourite in the featherweight category. Divya Kakran will also be making her return to the mat after 11 months in 68kg. She last competed at the Asian Championship held in February in New Delhi where she bagged gold.
Nisha, the current reigning champion in 65kg, will also be returning to the mat. Meanwhile, 76kg will have Kiran and Gursharan Preet Kaur start as favourite for the gold medal.
