Armenia has announced strong 9 member team for the U23 World Wrestling championships starting in Budapest, Hungary from October 28th. Armenia will be represented by Norayr Hakhoyan (55kg), Armen Melikyan (60kg), Slavik Galstyan (63kg), Hayk Melikyan (67kg), Hrant Kalachyan (72kg), Vahe Poghosyan (77kg), Arman Vardumyan (82kg), Albert Yeghikyan (87kg) and Davit Ovasapyan (130kg).

Before leaving for Budapest, Armenian team will undergo training camp starting from October 18th. Head coach of the team Eduard Sahakyan has told the media that the training camp for the selected team will conclude on October 30. According to him, the Armenian delegation will travel to Budapest afterwards and enter into the competition on November 1. The U23 World Championships in Budapest starts on Oct 28th, but the Greco-Roman competition will commence only on 1st Nov.
