Kripa Shankar will spearhead India’s challenge at the UWW Veterans World Wrestling Championships 2019. Shankar will contest both Greco Roman and freestyle competitions in the 70kg category.
India is fielding a 17-member squad for the Masters event, scheduled from October 8 to 13 at Georgia, Tbilisi. The competition will be held in the five age categories and for all age categories, the weight classes will be identical. The duration of the bouts is fixed as follows for all age categories: – Two periods of 2 minutes with a 30-second break.
