This is the weight category which no women wrestler wants to participate. Reason, 59Kg weight category is not the category which will be seen at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Most of the champion wrestlers like Japan’s two-time world and Olympic champion Risako KAWAI holds the world’s top-ranking at 59kg, but since winning her Budapest world title, she’s dropped down to the Olympic weight of 57kg.
But ironically India’s Pooja Dhanda, the 2018 world championship bronze medallist at 57kg has to do reverse. As Pooja lost out in the trials for 57Kg to compatriot Sarita Mor, WFI decided to field her in 59kg weight category.

Inagaki Grabs Top Spot From Kawai
Her Japanese teammate Yuzuka INAGAKI (JPN)? ?earned the top seed at the World Championships.
Though she’s ranked fifth in the world at 59kg, Yuzuka Inagaki will be the first seed at 59kg at the World Championships. This year, Inagaki made her continental debut at the senior-level Asian Championships,
where she seized the gold medal. She also won gold medals at the prestigious Ivan Yariguin, ?and most recently, at the Junior World Championships.
