Vinesh Phogat will be travelling to Norway for a training stint. She is not unduly worried about the Coronavirus threat even though a positive case was reported in the Scandinavian country.
The 2018 Asian Games gold medallist will be flying to Norway tomorrow for a 16-day training camp.
Norway has reported one confirmed case of the rapidly spreading deadly ailment. Vinesh, however, is sticking to her travelling plan. “I am not worried. There seems no such concern,” Vinesh told WrestlingTV.
“I will be leaving for Norway tomorrow. Once we come back from there, we will be going to other countries too. All this is part of our Tokyo Olympics preparations,” she added.
Vinesh has already booked her berth for the Tokyo Olympics and recently won a bronze medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships held in New Delhi.
Other Indian wrestlers are also scheduled to attend training camps abroad. While the freestyle team will go to Russia, the Greco-Roman side will fly to Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, the Wrestling Federation of India has decided to cancel women training camp in Ukraine. Only Nirmala Devi and Kiran had to go there.
