The Russian Wrestling Federation has decided to pull out both their world champions Inna Trazhukova & Natalia Vorobieva from their squad for the women world cup starting in Japan from Nov 16th. Trazhukova won 65kg gold and Vorobieva became the world champions in 72kg at Nur-Sultan. According to the Russian Federation, both the players will be rested for the event.
In the absence of both the world champions from the squad, the most experienced member of the Russian team will be the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games Ekaterina Bukina in 76 kg. The squad includes rest of the medallists from the recent World Cup in Nur Sultan. Ekaterina Poleshchuk, bronze medallist in 50kg, Olga Khoroshavtseva, bronze winner in 55kg, Silver medal winner Lyubov Ovcharova in 59kg will be part of the Russian squad for world cup in Narita, Japan.
Russia has been placed in the Group B with USA & Mongolia.
