Wrestling News: A young and promising Ukrainian freestyle wrestler Oksana Livach has already managed to declare herself at the adult level – she won the European Championship (Bucharest-2019), was the medalist of the World Championship (Budapest-2018) and the European Games (Minsk-2019).
The athlete remembered her first steps in wrestling – she took them together with her father / coach, candidate for master of sports in Greco-Roman wrestling, Vasily Livach . Then she trained with Oleg Sazonov , Orest Skobelsky and Andrey Stadnik , with whom she still works today.
Oksana Livach took her social Media to tell why she choose Wrestling
“Why freestyle wrestling? They say that parents are not chosen. Native lands are not chosen either, but there is one moment. I believe that the work of a lifetime is also not chosen – it comes to you by itself when you feel that this is exactly what what you need.
If you get pleasure from what you do, then you are in your place. ”
Livach writes further:
“It so happened that since childhood I loved sports, there was a lot of energy. How could I have chosen something else? Probably not. It would not have been possible to stop me even for one minute in one place, I assure you.
The one where I was born.” Where I come from, there was simply no more promising sport. And I will add that both my father was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling, and my older sister was in freestyle wrestling. So I had no choice …
And this one himself sport is very close to me in spirit. It is not only strength that is important here, but also character. ”
