Wrestling News: Whoever gave the proverb “A dog is a person’s best friend” fits perfectly in lives of wrestlers who are stuck at home due to COVID-19. Amid these trying times, it is these dogs who have been a great support to the wrestlers. While some grapplers are recently got a new companion, some have been known as dog lovers in the wrestling world.

Wrestling News: Here are top 10 wrestlers who are famous for their love for dogs:
1) Sarita Mor:

Named as ‘Jackie Mann’, he is the newest member of Asian champion Sarita Mor and husband Rahul Mann’s family. Jackie comes from the German Shepherd breed. Rahul says that he is happy to have a new member in his family. “I have been fond of dogs since childhood. I just love spending time with them. And Jackie’s introduction to our family is a blessing is a disguise. He is just 25-days old but is very smart”.

2) Jacarra Winchester:

The world champion is a proud owner of a St.Bernard. The breed has become famous through tales of alpine rescues, as well as for its enormous size. And he certainly has stood by his famous trait. With him on her side, Winchester has been a happy soul even during the lockdown enforced due to coronavirus.

3) Adeline Gray: 

The five-time world champion is known for wrestling prowess on the mat. She is the favourite to win gold at the Tokyo Olympics. But little did anyone know that she is also a dog lover. Gray owns a Huskey with whom she recently uploaded a picture on Instagram saying “Don’t forget to give your puppy a good head scratch while you stretch!”

4) Bajrang Punia:

The Indian wrestler had recently adopted a street dog with whom he had posted a picture. Bajrang is currently training in Bangalore for the Tokyo Olympics.

5) Divya Kakran:

Divya has shifted her training base to the Himalayas due to the rise in covid-19 cases in Delhi. But just before doing it, she had got a new companion to keep her company. And no, it was not his younger brother Deepak but a dog instead. It is a chihuahua mix similar to what Priyanka Chopra once owned.

6) Geeta Phogat:

Geeta Phogat is known as the Dangal girl and is the first Indian woman wrestler to win gold at Commonwealth Games. But apart from her fun facts related to wrestling here is one from her personal life. Geeta is proud of a Great Dane. It is the same breed that the 90s kid grew watching in the form of “Scooby-Doo”.
