WWE News: Chris Hemsworth is synonymous to ‘The Thor ‘ from the Marvel Universe. And after playing the action hero, the actor has decided to enter the WWE ring to be part of the Hulkamania. The 36-year-old will be portraying WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan in the latter’s biopic and has started transforming himself to fit the role. The movie will be a Netflix exclusive.
In an interview with the Total Film Hemsworth said: “This movie is going to be a really fun project”. “As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor. There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude.”
Hemsworth has previously revealed how the movie will show an “unseen side of the wrestling world.
Challenging and Fascinating
In an interview with Screenrant, despite not receiving a script yet, the Aussie remains “fascinated” and “intrigued” by the world of pro wrestling that the movie aims to shed some light on. He admitted, “Look, I haven’t read a script yet. I know it’s being written now and worked on. I know very little about that. It’s sort of in the process now”.
Who is Hulk Hogan
Hogan, 66, known as the greatest wrestler of all-time WWE has ever produced. He was known for his vivacious and briskness performances in WWE against the likes of Shawn Michaels, the Undertaker and Bret Hart.
He was the face of 80s and 90s era along with the nature boy Ric Flair. He paved the way for other huge pro wrestling superstars such as Stone Cold, The Rock and John Cena. Hulk Hogan’s most famous wrestling moment came when he annihilated Andre the Giant at ended his long unbeaten steak at Wrestlemania 3 in 1987.
