WWE News: The Undertaker has competed against so many great wrestlers in his near three-decade WWE career. We all know some of his epic clashes against the Hall of Famers like of Edge, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold and Triple-H.

Here are Undertaker’s top 5 classic matches in WWE history

5) Armageddon 2004 match against three other superstars

The main feud heading into Armageddon was between John “Bradshaw” Layfield (JBL), Booker T, Eddie Guerrero, and The Undertaker over the WWE Championship. Before the match began, JBL announced that if he lost the match he would leave professional wrestling forever. As the battle began, the Undertaker was favourite to win the match as he almost did so, giving chokeslam to all three other stars. But before the three counts, he was ambushed by Jon Heidenreich and JBL retained the championship.

4) The Undertaker vs Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship qualifying match

It was earlier predicted as a one-sided match even before it kicked off as Undertaker was up against the Ultimate Underdog of WWE Rey Mysterio. However, to everyone’s shock, Mysterio’s high-flying skills and enthusiasm of has left WWE fans amazed. It was a tough fight for Mysterio who made the Undertaker go on his knees by giving him a taste of 619. But that was still not enough for ‘the Deadman’ as he gave him the last ride power bomb to win the match.

3) The Undertaker battled with Ric Flair’s son David

Before Wrestlemania 18, the Undertaker had sent a message for Ric Flair’s son David for a sanctioned match at SmackDown. During the match, the Deadman gave a tour of hell to David. Had Ric Flair not try to interfere, David would have Rest In Peace.

2). Undertaker vs Undertaker

The 1994 Summerslam confrontation between The Undertakers is still regarded as one of the iconic moments in WWE history. The Undertaker was managed by Paul Bearer at the time and Ted Di Biase managed the other Undertaker.

WWE had built up the story for a long time until the final conclusion came down at SummerSlam in 1994.

Di Biasie’s Undertaker was played by Brian Lee and both Mark Callaway and the latter had a lookalike make up. The result of the match was Paul Bearer’s Undertaker winning the bout after planting two back-to-back Tombstone Piledrivers.

1). The Undertaker vs The Mankind (1998) in Hell in a cell match

Mankind and The Undertaker’s match had literally blown the roof of the arena when the two wrestlers had decided to climb the top of the ring to fight. This match was one of the greatest and the most shocking match ever played inside Hell in a Cell. There were rumours then it was not scripted since falling from 22ft was not a joke — when Undertaker pushed Mankind off the cage top.

The Undertaker performed a Tombstone Piledriver on Mankind and ended the match as well as the feud.
