WWE Smackdown results, recap: The latest episode of SmackDown Live has already announced two championship matches that will take place on next week’s episode SmackDown Live. However, this week’s SmackDown had some special segments which included the SmackDown Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley and Sasha Banks’ greatness era speech. After emerging over Braun Strowman at Extreme Rules “the fiend” Bray Wyatt once again brought back ‘the Firefly Fun House’ display in this latest episode of SmackDown Live with some ominous message for next week.
On other segments, we had Women’s singles match for the Bayley’s championship which will take place next week on SmackDown Live.
Besides this here are the 3 things which we have learnt from this week’s SmackDown Live.
3). WWE Smackdown results, recap: Kofi Kingston out of action for next six weeks
After New Day lost their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against the team of Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura at the Extreme Rules, and everybody thought that now it is the end of New Day era. As this week on SmackDown Live at backstage Kofi Kingston informed Big E, he will be out of action for next six weeks because of injury, this news let down Big E’s confidence. However, Kofi Kingston also told Big E, “it is time for you to shine” as Xavier Woods is already out of the faction and Kofi Kingston also, which further leaves Big E to stand alone and turn this opportunity into a golden one.
2). WWE Smackdown results, recap: Two championship matches confirmed for next week
WWE has announced it officially that next on Friday night SmackDown Live we will have two championship matches. AJ Styles will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Gran Metalik next week on SmackDown Live. Grand Metalik earned this opportunity by defeating other three wrestler in a fatal – 4 way match in this latest episode of SmackDown Live. On another championship match, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Nikki Cross next week on SmackDown Live. Nikki Cross once again earned this opportunity by defeating Alexa Bliss in a singles match for the number one contender for Bayley’s Championship in this episode of SmackDown.

The main event for the night took place between Jeff Hardy and Sheamus in a ‘Bar Fight’ match. Legendary star and commentator JBL also promoted this match earlier in the show. Meanwhile, this match between Sheamus and Hardy met at Irish Shannon’s pub in Orlando and chatted a bit at the bar before the melee broke out after Hardy threw a beer in Sheamus’ face. After battling all over the establishment with Sheamus in control for most of the fight, Hardy emerged victorious after hitting Sheamus with a Swanton off a ladder. Jeff Hardy with this massive win also took his revenge from Sheamus for all the solecism which caused Jeff Hardy throughout this rivalry.
