Yasar Dogu Wrestling 2020 : Azerbaijan reigned supreme in Men and Turkey in women categories

The Yaşar Dogu wrestling international 2020 ended on Sunday with host Turkey winning the honors in the women competition and Azerbaijan reigned supreme in the Men’s freestyle. On the final day Hamza Alaca won second gold for Turkey in the men’s competition. Earlier on the say 2016 Olympic silver medallist Selim Yasar won gold in the 86kg category. The most interesting bout of the day came in the 125kg category. In the battle for gold Jamaladdin Magomedov of Azerbaijan defeated local hope Gemici Tanju to win the gold and team championship for his country.

In the women categories, Turkish women reigned supreme as they won gold in 55kg and 76kg categories on the final day of the first international wrestling event of 2020. In the 76kg final Adar Yasemin of Turkey defeated Zsanett Nemeth of Hungary to take the gold tally of home team to 4. Turkey finished number 1 in the team rankings followed by Azerbaijan and Bulgarian women teams.
