The senior and junior world championships will reportedly be held behind closed. The event is scheduled for December in Belgrade, Serbia. While the junior world will begin from December 4 to 9, the senior world championship is scheduled from December 12-20. United World Wrestling’s (UWW) executive committee will next meet on October 5 to discuss plans for the competitions.

Meanwhile, UWW on Sunday confirmed the addition of the Ziolkowski, Pytlasinski and Poland Open to the 2021 Ranking Series and clarified the points in determining seeds for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Earlier this year, the world wrestling body approved plans for China Turkmenistan and North Korea to receive Ranking Series points for their finishes at the 2021 continental championships. The nations were unable to attend the 2020 championships due to concerns surrounding the transmission of COVID-19. Similarly, the Oceania Continental Championships in 2021 will count for Ranking Series points as they have not competed in 2020.
