UWW has released its first updated rankings after the recently concluded world wrestling championships in Nur-Sultan. 2 time world champion Frank Chamizo of Italy for the second year running failed to win the world championship crown of the 74kg weight category. Once again the world’s most mercurial wrestling star Chamizo was defeated by Zaurbek Sidakov of Russia in the finals of the world championships.

UWW Rankings – 97kg Sadulaev ranked number 1, Snyder closed second
The closest race in the UWW rankings is in the 97kg weight category where the Russian Tank and the current world champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev is ranked number 1 with 80 points. Close on the heels is Kyle Snyder of USA with 79 points.
UWW Rankings – 76kg Women – Adeline Grey still world number 2
Adeline Grey of USA recently won her 5th world championship crown in Nur-Sultan but that wasn’t enough for her to be placed at number 1 in the UWW world rankings. Gray missed the entire season of the competitions and is currently ranked number 2 with 78 points. The 76kg category is led by Aline Rotter of Germany with 87 points.
