The champion of the London Olympics and three-time European champion, Dzhamal Otarsultanov (55 kg) is thinking to hang his singlet. According to the report by WrestlingUA, the 33-year-old cites covid-19 as the reason for it.
He said: “I, most likely, will not participate in the Russian championship. Recently, I have been thinking about ending my sports career. But I have not yet made a final decision”.
“Because of the coronavirus pandemic, a lot has changed in life. This year I had the intention to fight for a ticket to the Olympics, but it did not work out as the Tokyo Games got postponed,” he added.
