Yes, the outbreak of coronavirus has upended the sporting world but it has also given time to many to take a step back and look at how they want to take things forward. In this WWE is the frontrunner. The pro wrestling business for past couple of years has been struggling to garner the same attention as they once did in the 90’s, 2000’s and even early 2010’s. However, half-filled stadiums in their biggest paper view of all, the WrestleMania bears testament to their struggles.
But now, WWE has started experimenting with the storylines and last weeks Monday night RAW segment is the proof of it. It had everything, good matches, great mic skills on display and stories which went beyond simple rivalries. And the fans are loving it. Top 5 WWE Superstars who could jump to AEW by end of 2020
1) Shinsuke Nakamura returns to RAW as Zelina Vega’s team member
WWE has stayed mum on the absence of the Canadian superstar but fans believe that it is due to the precautionary measure from COVID-19 that Zayn has decided to stay at home. It means he will not be returning anytime soon to lead the trio of Nakamura and Cesaro to glory anytime soon. By the time he makes his return, the ship would have sailed into a different territory which would still be uncharted for Zayn. And with AJ Styles moved to Smackdown, it could be possible Nakamura san show up on RAW this Monday.
Zayn and Nakamura were paired only due to lack of English speaking ability of the latter and the problem would continue even after he switches team. And this is why replacing Austin Theory can be a possibility.
2) Samoa Joe’s big return to RAW
Aleister Black and Seth Rollins are scheduled to go hammers and tongs on this weeks Monday Night Raw episode. And yes, it is right that is will the perfect setup for his two henchmen Austin Theory and Murphy to take the Dutch Destroyer down, to prove that “The Architect” and his followers are the most dominant team on RAW.
And this is where Samoa Joe could step up for Black as he is unable to see a fellow-superstar being treated unfairly. Yes, there are various reports of him having permanently usurped Jerry Lawler’s throne, but we have seen how the commentary spots are never fixed. Samoa Joe belongs in the ring and chances are that he has been cleared to wrestle. He will certainly add a lot of star power to the program when he has cleared for action once again.
3) Dominick Mysteria makes comeback to RAW to help father Rey out
It is official that the Master of 619 Rey Mysterio is all set to bid adieu to WWE for good after a glorious career. But because there is a high possibility for ‘the Saviour’ Seth Rollins to get involved in some way, fans can expect a little help from the Ultimate Underdog’s son Dominick. If this happens, it would be one of the most memorable moments for WWE Universe who has watched wrestling live for so long.
4) Nia Jax takes out both Charlotte Flair and Asuka
After a very very long time, WWE has got a star-studded women’s roster to boast for. Be it, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks or Charlotte Flair, the business has been on upscale when it comes to women’s wrestling. And this week will not be different. This week on Monday Night Raw, Asuka and Charlotte Flair are amongst the fight cards. Yes, one of the two women could definitely take a loss in this case but there is a possibility that the big story would be for the upcoming pay-per-view WWE Backlash. And this is where Nia Jax could enter the fray making it a triple threat bout for the future.
5) Cold War between Andrade and Angel Garza on RAW
Andrade used to be the United States Champion but it was Apollo Crews last week on RAW who dethroned him. Angel Garza, on the other hand, scored the biggest win of his career by defeating Kevin Owens in a singles match on RAW that has pretty much put him on the map as the successor to Eddie Guerrero. Now, this week Crews will be naming his own opponent on RAW and he might pick Garza for the challenge. And if this happens, it is likely that there could be some cold feelings reciprocated from teammate Andrade in the coming weeks.
