In a turn of events, Gyanender from India will also play a bronze medal match in the 60kg Greco-Roman category on day 2 of Sr. Asian Wrestling Championship 2020.
He will now play Islomjon Bakhramov of Uzbekistan later in the evening.

Hardeep will also join the other three Indians to feature in a bronze medal match. He will be up against Beksultan Makhmudov of Kyrgyzstan in the Greco-Roman 97kg category.
Earlier in the day, 2019 Asian Championship bronze medallist Gyanender had a bad day in office as he lost out tamely to world champion Kenichiro Fumita of Japan. In the 60kg quarterfinal bout, Fumita defeated the Indian in under 2 minutes by 9-0.
Earlier in the 82kg category, India’s Harpreet Singh Sandhu started the second day of the Sr. Asian Wrestling Championship on a positive note as he defeated Japanese Satoki Mukai by 6-1 but lost out the second round robin bout. The 82kg category is played on round-robin format and Harpreet still stands a chance to finish on the podium.
