The Azerbaijan wrestler told Iran Wrestling Federation that the most everyone can do is to just wait and hope this virus gets eradicated. “I don’t think there will be any competition this year, now that we’re in quarantine and we have to wait for everything to subside and a new calendar from the union,” he added.
The three-time world medallist now spends time with his niece and nephews and trains once a day. Besides this, he has also started learning English.
“I have a room in the house with bodybuilding equipment and I train there alone. Contrary to what everyone likes to practice in public, my interest is to practice separately, while the headphones are in my ear and I listen to music, I practice in front of the mirror, and it takes 3 to 5 hours,” he said.
He is also two-time European Champion and competes in 72kg Greco-Roman style.
