Following concerns by the government of Morocco, the African and Oceania Olympic Game Qualifier, scheduled for next weekend in El Jadida, have been postponed.
The African and Oceania Qualifier joins the Asian Qualifier as currently under postponement with new dates and locations for the event yet to be determined.
“We are grateful to the government of Morocco for their clear communication and their efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” said United World Wrestling president Nenad Lalovic. “We are working hard to find a quick solution to this issue and to getting our athletes prepared for their respective qualifiers and the Olympic Games.”
