World Championship silver medalist and wrestler Deepak Punia’s mother Krishna Devi died of a heart attack on Thursday. Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) confirmed the news. She was 46-year-old and died of a heart attack at around 2:30 pm last night, Punjab Kesari reported.
Deepak’s wrestling guru (teacher) Mahabali Satpal Singh, two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar and wrestler Sumit attended the her funeral.
