Russia has announced their women squad for the European Wrestling Championships beginning in Rome on 10th February. The composition of the Russian women’s team was determined at a training camp held at the Krugloye Sports Base. The team included all the participants of the most successful world championship for the Russian national team in Nur-Sultan, with the exception of the bronze medalist of the 2019 World Cup Ekaterina Poleshchuk. In addition, Inna Trazhukova and Maria Kuznetsova changed weight categories. Trazhukova will participate in the category up to 62 kg and Kuznetsova will play in 65 kg.
Russia could only win 4 medals at the 2019 European Wrestling Championships in Romania. Stalvira Orshush was the only gold medallist at the last European championships. She will try to win her third European championships gold in Rome.
