Gurpreet was born (16/3/1994) in Mohali. He is currently working as Sub-Inspector in Punjab police (since 2017). His father used to be a wrestler who inspired him for wrestling. He started wrestling at the age of 10 in the Gulzar wrestling akhada, Zirakpur. Favourite wrestling moment when he won the final bout against the wrestler from Turkey in 2019 Itlay World Ranking Series. He likes playing basketball and football and his favourite actor is Akshay Kumar.
