Gursharan was born in 13/3/1981 in Warring, Mohanpur, Tarn Tara, Punjab. She started wrestling at the age of 20 when she was recruited in Punjab Police, she used to play Hammer throw at that time and Punjab Police wanted a women wrestler so they asked me to compete in a Police tournament, that’s how I came into wrestling. Gursharan first Akhada was PAP in Jalandhar and her first coach was Mr Azad Singh. Yogeshwar dutt is her favourite wrestler. Other than Wrestling When she was recruited in Punjab Police, Gursharan used to play hammer throw. Currently working in the Punjab Police as Sub- Inspector.
