Hungarian top athletes including wrestlers took part in plasma donation to help find a cure to coronavirus. Almost the entire wrestling team including Mariana Sastin, Tamas Lorincz, Emese Barka and Balazs Kiss took part in the blood donation. The report added that wrestlers who attended the training camp in Iran last month have been asymptomatic but several were feverish.
Besides the wrestlers, several swimmers have also taken part in the plasma donation after recovering from the infection. “ We survived this virus relatively asymptomatically, we just had to quarantine, I sometimes had a headache. But there are many who are not so lucky, we definitely need to help them, ”the swimmer told Blikk news.
According to Hungarian researchers, the blood plasma of those who have been infected may help many to recover. Serum therapy is developed jointly by four Hungarian universities.
