“Because of the coronavirus outbreak, I am training my wrestlers remotely,” he told a Russian website in an interview.
“So far, more than 6,000 people in Poland have been infected with the coronavirus and more than 200 have died. We have stayed at home and are following quarantine,” he added.
Salamov has provided athletes with quarantine training programs. Each wrestler has his schedule. The program includes weight training, bodybuilding amongst other things necessary to stay healthy and fit.
“I have provided athletes with quarantine training programs. All of our wrestlers have an individual training program and work at home, and our training program includes weight training and bodybuilding at home and in the morning, as well as shading. They also do stretching exercises at night,” he said.
He added that no sports venues including training arenas and gyms will be shut until June 12. So until the quarantine is over, there is a discussion underway to keep some athletes under the supervision of physicians.
