While Pooja Dhanda is confined to her home in Hisar due to lockdown amid Coronavirus outbreak, she has started practising yoga. The 26-year-old grappler is making the most of her free time and practices yoga every day. She believes it will help her improve her concentration and think her clearly to iron out my flaws.
“This lockdown is proving good for me. Earlier, I could not practice yoga regularly due to two training sessions per day. But now with more time, I have made it a regular thing in my routine. I meditate and do yoga every day in the evening. One session can go up to two hours,” she told WrestlingTV.
“My body is not very flexible. But now I feel a little more flexible than before. It is also helping me improve my agility and focus”.

The 2018 Commonwealth Games silver medallist is following a training programme given to her by physiotherapist Satyaprakash Singh. As per the schedule, she trains twice a day – morning is individual training, while the evening is a yoga session.
The grappler has not yet qualified for the Tokyo Games after losing twice in the national trials for the selection of the Olympic qualifiers.
“I have been struggling with injuries. It has hampered my progress as I have struggled to keep in shape. But now yoga is helping me heal my body. It is also helping me keep my focus and stay fit for when I return on the mat”.
