Wrestling News: The Asian Olympic Council (OCA) on Tuesday announced the postponement of 6th Asian Beach Games which were scheduled to be held in Sanya, China due to covid-19. The tournament was scheduled to be held from November 28 to December 6 this year in Sanya, China. The OCA, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Games Organising Committee will discuss to set a new schedule for the continental Beach Games/
Asia Beach Tournament is a comprehensive beach sports tournament sponsored by OCA. Due to the growing size of the Asian Games, the beach was separated and started in Bali, Indonesia in 2008. Initially, it was held once every two years, but after the 2016 competition, it became a quadrennial event.
After 2008, no tournament was held for six years after which it returned in 2014 in Phuket (Thailand). The 2016 was held in Da Nang (Vietnam) and Japan has participated in all three tournaments. Hikaru Aono (Nihon University) won the 2014 competition and has won medals in all competitions.
