The Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) has decided to organise the women’s freestyle wrestling championship in September. Originally planned for May, the competitions were postponed due to covid-19. The tournament will take place in two days – September 26-27. The venue remained unchanged – the “AK Bars” Martial Arts Palace (Kazan, Tatarstan, RF).
The tournament will determine not only the champions of Russia but also the participants of the world championship, which is tentatively scheduled for December in Belgrade (Serbia). The upcoming tournament is a debut in the status of the main Bulgarian Simeon Shterev, has replaced Magomed Aliomarov who died in May due to the virus.
Meanwhile, the Russian freestyle wrestling championship will be held in October in Vladikavkaz.
