Sanjeet was born in 05-10-1998 in Jhajjar, Haryana. He started wrestling after watching his father who also used to play the sport at the local Akhadas and he felt inspired watching Sushil Kumar on television during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
His faith increased in the game after live witnessing the CWG in Delhi in 2010 where Indian wrestlers had flared. He believes his biggest strength is his leg attack.
