Five-time world champion Adeline Gray is back to the mat to begin her training for the Tokyo Olympics. She is working hard to get back into the top shape. But while she is at it, she has also found a new way to keep herself motivated and refreshed. In an Instagram post, she wrote revealed that between training sessions, she spends her time reading a book titled “Afsoon”. It is a book about an Iranian girl who overcomes adversity to become first US women’s medallist.

Gray who was taking all the inspiration she could by reading the book wrote, “Want to know what I have been reading in-between practices? It was an easy read and shared a story of struggle and perseverance. I read stories about my friends and coaches that helped craft a truth about the changing landscape of women in the wrestling world. Check out this great book at afsoonwrestling”.

The 29-year-old has qualified confirmed her Tokyo Olympics berth in 76kg after winning her fifth world championship title in Nur-Sultan. The Tokyo Games will be held next year from July 23 to August 9.
