Somvir was born on 16 Nov 1994 in Bhakta Kheda, Jind. He started wrestling at the age of 15. Somvir’s first Akhada was Pratap School and his first coach was Sh. Om Prakash Dahiya. In 2015 during National Games, he injured his shoulder and got operated in 2016 and after a few months, he got his shoulder injured again and was out of practice for 3 years. Currently working in Indian Railways
