The host for the 4th edition of the UWW Under23 World Wrestling Championships will be the Nordic country, Finland. The championships will be played between 23rd Nov to 29th Nov in a small lake city of Finland called Tampere.
Wrestling in Finland is one of the most followed sport and quite popular, especially the club wrestling. Finland has more than 100 wrestling clubs all over the country with more than 13,000 members.
This will be the 4th edition of the U23 World wrestling championships. The previous editions have been hosted by all European nations. Poland hosted the inaugural edition of the championships, the 2018 edition host was Romania followed by Budapest, Hungary where the just concluded 3rd edition of the U23 world’s were hosted.
UWW is expecting that more nations will be seen in action at the next edition. In this year’s edition 61 nations participated in Budapest.
