Peter Bacsi, 36, has said that condition for preparing wrestlers for 2021 Olympics is difficult. Talking on the postponement of the Tokyo Games, the Hungarian veteran said that it was an inevitable step due to the outbreak of Coronavirus but now the condition to train wrestlers for it are also tough.
“Right now we have to stay home due to the pandemic, and I spend most of my time with my two little boys,” he told quoted by Iran Wrestling Federation.
“The postponement of the Olympics was due to the difficult situation that arose, but the conditions for preparing wrestlers to participate in the Olympic Games in 2021 are also difficult.”
Elaborating on why it is tough for wrestlers to train, he opined, “Right now, all the claimants are looking to do their own training individually, and national camp requires at least one safe training space for those who are preparing for the Olympics. That’s why we’re not in an easy position.” Bachi said.
The Hungarian wrestlers including Baschi are in touch with their wrestling federation and coaches and are trying to find the best way to train.
“We are currently in contact with the federation and the head coach, and they are trying to help us in some way. Of course, we have also launched a campaign to stay at home,” he said.
