The sporting world has slowly started getting back on its legs after virtually coming to a standstill due to coronavirus. Last week, Bulgarian wrestling team resumed their at a wrestling centre in the Belmeken mountain. Hungary had also decided to get back on the mat and begin preparation for the Tokyo. The third country to do so in Romania. Specific guidelines were issued by the national federations of these countries before organising the camp.
Romania:
The Romanian wrestling federation has decided to call only 12 wrestlers who of the Olympic team to resume training at the Olympic Sports Complex “Sydney 2000”. The athletes will begin the national camp in compliance with all the established safety rules and protocols to avoid the risk of infection.

The Greco Roman team will consists Alina Alin Alexuc, Mihai Mihu?, R?zvan Arn?ut and Lenard Berei, together with coach Arghira Anton.
The Women’s team will have Alina Vuc, Kriszta Incze, Andreea Ana, Alexandra Anghel, C?talina Axente, Adina Popescu, the coach being Marian Berbec. Also, the medical staff that will enter the camp is composed of Adriana Limona, Marcela Scor?eanu and Cosmin Grasu.
Romania so far has only one wrestler – Aline Vuc in 50kg– who have qualified for the Tokyo Games.
Bulgaria:
The Bulgarian wrestling federation had announced the list of wrestlers who have joined the camp. Before the national camp was resumed, all the athletes, coaches and support staff were tested for COVID-19. Only after each, they were cleared were they allowed joining the training. The practice will be done as per the schedule and under the presence of three doctors who will be responsible for taking care of wrestlers’ health. Each wrestler has been kept in a separate dormitory.
Hungary:
The Hungary Wrestling Federation has allowed organizing training camps. The official dates for the training camps will be announced in the second week of May. However, physical contact is still barred which means the wrestlers can only do individual training in the gym.
