US wrestler Bo Nickal is one of the top wrestlers to graduate from Penn State Nittany Lions. The U23 World Champ has plans for a quick transition into Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA) and his wrestling background, as most UFC fighters could help him ease into the process. And the person helping him get ready for MMA is welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal.
The UFC recently tweeted a picture with the USA wrestler and said, “Working on my striking with @NoBickal and some big dude #andnew #theresurrection #frm #att”.

In 2019, Nickal had announced his partnership with American Top Team to open up an MMA gym at Penn State. He wants to enter MMA soon, likely after his run at an Olympic team and medal in the now coronavirus delayed Tokyo Games.
Last year, he won the U23 World Championships at 92kg in Budapest. For the Olympic Qualifications, the 24-year-old moved up to 97kg. In order to get a place in Team USA for the Olympics, he will have to surpass Kyle Snyder and J’den Cox amongst other.
