United Wrestling World (UWW) President Nenad Lalovic wrote a letter to all the national federations amending general rules for Championships. The letter also mentioned certain rules which will come into play under exceptional circumstances.
The text of the letter is as follows:
Dear Presidency,
As you know earlier this year, the United World Wrestling had conducted tests which will be used in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. And in the process of checking whether the rules are clear enough for any conditions, several situations arising under exceptional circumstances were discussed.

We then had to make some minor adjustments so that the rules could be explicitly waived in exceptional circumstances, including the injury of both wrestlers as well as different models.
Attached to the new version of the Arbitration Rules is the major change to Article 15 (ending a race):
– If two wrestlers are injured during a match (do not compete), the next round wrestler will be declared the winner (win due to an opponent’s injury). If this happens in the semi-finals, Article 8 of the Rules (Ranking Criteria) will be used to determine which wrestler will qualify for the odds table.
– If the wrestler or wrestlers withdrew or get disqualified during a medal (final, standings) match, other wrestlers from the same section of the table in which that wrestler was disqualified or disqualified were present to determine the wrestling The finals will come higher.
– If both finalists get disqualified, then it is imperative that both winners compete for the first or second place. In this case two wrestlers who have been ranked fifth will be named third and the other participants will be promoted to the same rank. This will be true in cases where both finalists opt out despite successful re-weighting. (An extra meeting between the bronze medalists)
In addition to these changes, some of the general rules of the championship and international championships have been amended as follows:
Article 26: Requirements that have been amended to comply with the rules of the Olympic Games.
– For the Olympics and other multidisciplinary events, any athlete who has validated his / her eligibility before the end of the specified time period may be used as an alternative provided that he/she is eligible. This shift can take place up to noon the day before the races.
– If one of the national federations cancels the dispatch of one of the contestants after the expiration of one month, the organizer will be entitled to claim the accommodation expenses of this representative.
