UWW Rome Ranking Series : Iran & Turkey announces their star studded team for #wrestleRome

The powerhouses of the world wrestling Iran and Turkey have announced their teams for the UWW Rome Ranking Series starting from today. Though some of the big names like 2019 world champion Riza Kayaalp (Turkey), Olympic and World Champion Hassan Yazdani (Iran) are missing from their squads, still they look strong. Iran has decided to field 2019 world bronze medallist Behnam Ehsanpour in the 65kg, the likely challenger for Bajrang Punia from India. World 86kg champion Yazdani is missing from the squad as he is nursing knee surgery.

97 kg: Mohammad Mohammadian
125 kg: Amir Hossein Zare

Turkey to field team in Men’s Freestyle & Greco-Roman
Like Iran, some of the top names of Turkish wrestling will also miss out from Rome. Taha Akgul, Riza Kayaalp have decided to skip the event due to different reasons. But still with the presence of former world medallists Faith Erdin, Soner Demitras the squad looks highly competitive.
