With no wresting competitions or training, the Russian wrestlers have taken to the streets to help te low-income families amid coronavirus pandemic. World Champions Zaurbek Sidakov, and Hetik Tsabolov, as well as Olympic champion Soslan Romanov, are providing the poor families in Russia. The wrestlers even organised a relief camp for the cause. They go door-to-door to provide food to the poor.
“After a rigorous briefing on compliance with anti-epidemiological safety measures, the newly-made volunteers, armed with masks and gloves, went to deliver food aid to the addresses,” Wrestling Russia reported.
Sidakov said that it is his duty to help the people in need. “Having heard about the action, we decided to contribute to this necessary and noble cause. Only together can we fight back all diseases and adversities, ”said Zaurbek Sidakov.
The visit of famous volunteers had a double positive effect. People on self-isolation were pleasantly surprised not only by help but also by meeting with athletes.
